How could I miss a route through the chestnut grove of El Tiemblo in autumn?
In this place you breathe something that is not easy to describe and what we see transports us for a few moments to fairy tales. The chestnut trees with the expired leaf and others that they barely have, beautiful and centuries-old trunks watching over us at the same time that they form a thick forest that prevents the passage of light rays, small streams furrowing between the roots of these old sentinels and an enclave that It gives the feeling of a private garden … this is, among other things, what we can find on this beautiful route.
We will visit the centennial tree called the grandfather with which we can photograph ourselves and later we will leave the forest to ascend to the port of Casillas from where we will have exceptional views of the easternmost part of the Sierra de Gredos. A very complete route that you cannot miss.
It is necessary to take into account for this route that to enter the chestnut grove you have to pass a control and pay an access.
Prices are € 6 per vehicle and € 2 per person. For example: Visitors visiting the vehicle would be charged for the car (€ 6) and also for each of them (€ 2 / adult). If there were four adult people the amount would amount to 14 euros in total. So the best will be in the town, before going up to the chestnut tree to square the cars to occupy them to the maximum and save on expenses. There is also a bus that takes you up from the town. That said, it should be noted that the route will be worth it.
