On this occasion we will move to medieval times through a route that will immerse us in the history of our country, the path of the archpriest of Hita.
We will start our route in the Segovian area, specifically in the Panera recreational area at the El Espinar Station. We will walk along the Cordel de la Campanilla until we reach the so-called Alto del León or port of Guadarrama, ordered to be built by Fernando VI and named after the column built in the 18th century where a lion rests with a Latin inscription: “Fernandus VI pater patriae viam utrique castellae superatir motibus fecit an sallutis MDCCXLIX Regni sui IV ”(Fernando VI, father of the Homeland, made the way for both Castillas above the mountains, the year of our salvation 1749, IV of his reign).
From here we will take the cordal that will take us to the rocky rock of Hita where the monument that pays tribute to it, before passing through the bunkers of the Spanish civil war that are in an optimal state of conservation, which will that we can feel in another era.
